The Kent Author Committee announces the visit of author Christopher Paul Curtis to the Kent Schools on April 2, 2003. He has won both the Newberry and Corretta Scott King awards. His first book, "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" tells the story of an African-American family journeying from Detroit to Birmingham and arriving during the bombing that killed four little girls.
